week 3, 12/15-12/22

Technical — Day 1

Reps: Perform this drill for a total of 3-4 rounds working for 30-45 seconds then rest for 1 minute between rounds.

Focus: Focus on clean contact with the ball/proper technique giving a good pass back.

 

Technical — Day 2

Reps: Perform a total of 3-4 rounds working for 30-45 seconds then rest for 1 minute between rounds.

Focus: Focus on quickly getting to the position in which you will receive the ball, keeping the passes on the ground and sharp.

 

Technical— Day 3

Reps: Perform a total of 3-4 rounds working for a total of 30-45 seconds, resting for 1 minute between rounds.

Focus: Maintain proper technique, locking the ankle upon passing and targeting the laces of the foot when passing back. Explode quickly out of each side to side movement allowing you to get there in time to prep yourself for the pass.

 

Technical— Day 4

Reps: Perform a total of 3-4 rounds working for 30-45 seconds then rest for 1 minute between rounds.

Focus: When receiving the pass, take your first touch from inside the cones to the outside, move through the cones as quickly as possible not hitting any of them. Be sure to get to your receiving position quickly in order to prepare for the touch and pass.
