week 4, 12/22-12/29
Finishing — Day 1
Reps: Perform a total of 2 rounds, doing 10 reps using each foot. After each round (one round is a set of 10 reps on each foot) rest for 45 seconds - 1 minute
Focus: Focus on placement over power to start, then combine the two
Finishing — Day 2
Reps: Perform a total of 3 rounds by 3 reps each, alternating the side and foot in which you use (one rep on each side/foot is one round) then rest for 45 seconds and repeat. (Can use a bench as a pass back)
Focus: Focus on clean touches throughout, having your final touch set you up for the finish then focus on the placement of the shot itself.
Finishing— Day 3
Reps: Perform a total of 3 rounds, doing 6-8 reps using each foot to finish on goal (Alternate sides after each round of 6-8 reps). Then rest for 1 minute and then repeat.
Focus: Focus on leaning over the ball and placing it in the side netting. (if there is no one around to play the ball in simply use a bench or wall of some sort to pass the ball off of and get a one time finish in).
Finishing— Day 4
Reps: That’s right everyones favorite- PK’s! Perform a total of 2-3 rounds by 5 reps using both your weak and strong foot, alternating sides (one round is 5 reps on each foot). Rest for 1 minute then repeat.
Focus: Focus on getting the proper technique down — Strike down on the ball and follow through to maintain power and placement.
